A phantom model was created with a silicon "face" and a real human skull. The realistic face was created by Laura Gibson using standard tissue depth tables, and this face was then cast in silicon rubber so it could be pulled on and off of the skull. Electrodes were placed on cephalometric landmarks for easy identification on cephalograms and permanently attached with clear epoxy.
